Dr. Nicholls began his undergraduate education at BYU and completed it at UCLA, receiving a bachelor's degree in biology. He attended dental school at the University of California, San Francisco, graduating in 1985. He completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Caliifornia, Irvine and the Long Beach VA Medical Centers. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery.
His clinical practice includes all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including: third molar (wisdom tooth) surgery, dental implant surgery, removal of diseased and fractured teeth, oral and facial trauma management, reconstructive (orthognathic) jaw surgery, evaluation and treatment of temporo-mandibular joint (TMJ) problems, evaluation and treatment of obstructive sleep apnea, and treatment of pathologic conditions of the mouth and jaws.
Dr. Nicholls personal interests include skiing, cycling, scuba diving and anything outdoors. He lives in Utah County, has four children and an increasing number of grandchildren.
